A surreal moment shared with my four-year-old son, Max. While sitting on a headland watching for whales, Max looked at me and asked, “Is this a dream, Dad?” A profound question from his young mind, and one that life often makes me ask myself.

The painting centres on the vast expanse of the ocean, with a scene emulating a mirage, a blurred line between memory, dream, and reality.
